Biography

A short bio.

Riaan Burger founded Minofmeer in Taiwan in 2017 after studying Chinese and industrial design. The studio is built on one idea: design should adapt to its context, sometimes less (MIN), sometimes more (MEER). The studio balances simplicity and complexity to create furniture and crafted objects that are both intentional and dynamic.

How we work

01

Design more or design less

Subtract where honesty serves the piece; add where structure or story requires it.

02

Triangularities applied

Trilingual, cross-cultural perspectives inform forms that resonate across contexts.

03

Active art

Making is thinking: hand processes carry memory forward while preparing methods for what's next.

04

Halleluja (!)

Seek the moment where structure, material, and story click.

05

Embrace all change

Iterate through tests and refinements; durability and meaning come from evolution.

06

Narrative is king

Every piece begins with a story; discover the narrative or create a new one.
